About This Practice

Aspire's Tucson Main office is at 2902 E Grant Rd, at the corner of N Margaret Ave. According to the practice, it serves Tucson, Sierra Vista, Sahuarita and Green Valley, including east side neighborhoods such as Catalina Vista, Loretta Heights, Campbell Grant, Doolen-Fruitvale and Palo Verde. Its website lists Dr. George Makol, Dr. Cody Aull, Samantha Martinez (PA-C) and Taylor Ward (PA-C) at this office. ExACT Immunoplasty℠ is Aspire's form of intralymphatic immunotherapy. The practice says small amounts of allergen go into the inguinal lymph node, in the groin, under ultrasound guidance, three times over eight weeks. Each procedure takes about 5 to 10 minutes, followed by a 60 minute observation period, and up to three allergens can be included in each treatment series. Treatment starts with an allergy test, which Aspire says covers up to 58 allergens with results the same day. If ExACT is a fit, the first treatment can be scheduled that same day. Patients need an epinephrine auto injector on treatment days, and anyone taking a beta blocker must have their doctor pause it for at least 24 hours before each treatment. Aspire lists allergy testing, allergy drops, allergy shots, asthma treatment, food allergy testing, and sinus treatments and procedures, including CT scans, at this office.

Five Star Experience! Samantha Martinez and Wendy, Clinical Manager, worked in tandem to coordinate the logistics of a penicillin allergy test that I needed as soon as possible for upcoming oral surgery. During my initial consultation with Samantha, I felt at ease as she was professional, kind, and extremely empathetic about my situation. On the day of the test, Wendy took wonderful care of me and explained each step thoroughly. I noticed that she was very systematic and carefully double-checked each juncture of the process and Samantha would come in and check each set of results as well. I am so grateful to have found such an excellent team of medical professionals!

My son first started going to this location almost two years ago. He first saw the doc who was about to retire, who was great. Then, my son saw Samantha Martinez who was overall very good, but the one downside was that she didn't return phone calls. We had to go in to see her at a different location for a three-minute appointment at the La Cholla office, which could have been handled in a phone call of the same length without paying for the visit. My son started experiencing what I thought might be side effects from a procedure he had almost a year ago. Given the option, I picked Dr. Makol instead of Ms. Martinez. He figured out what might be the culprit and gave a referral. So far, so good. And he said that if what he thought it might be was incorrect, to call him for a different referral. My son called Dr. Makol a few days ago for the second referral, just in case. He responded today at 8am. Also, shout out to the wonderful front desk/receptionist. She's a treasure. Everyone is great, even Samantha, who doesn't return phone calls, while the 40-year veteran doctor calls first thing in the morning.
