About This Practice

St. Louis Family Allergy describes itself as offering allergy, asthma and immunology care for families in St. Louis, St. Peters and surrounding Missouri communities. Its primary office is in St. Peters, on Mexico Road, and its website lists allergy testing, allergy shots, biologic therapy, patch testing and intralymphatic immunotherapy (Quick-LI). According to the practice, Quick-LI places very small allergen doses directly into a lymph node in the pelvic region under ultrasound guidance. Treatment is three visits with increasing doses, one injection a month. The procedure takes about 5 to 10 minutes, followed by 60 minutes of monitoring in the waiting area. Quick-LI treats environmental allergies such as dust mites, pets, pollens and molds, and the practice notes that only two injections are given at a time, which can limit how many allergens are treated. The practice recommends starting about eight weeks before your worst allergy season and says relief should come by about four months after the first injection. If results aren't optimal, up to two more monthly shots or occasional seasonal boosters may be used. Dr. Sonia Cajigal Allergist and immunologist

We took my son here to be retested for his egg allergy to see if he had outgrown it as many young children do. One of the staff members, Meghan, helped me ensure his records transferred in from the previous doctor (the other office did not send in time for his appointment but that is not the fault of Dr. Cajigal's office). At the appointment, Dr. Cajigal took the time to listen to his entire history, talk through it with me, and then was open to screening him for a variety of other allergens too just to rule those out. The staff were extremely helpful and understanding during the prick tests which were of course unpleasant for a toddler. They gave him sweets and stickers to cheer him up and let him bring some toys in from the waiting room to play with while we waited on the results. This is a very child-friendly office, both in the general set-up, and the people who work here. Very grateful to have met with them all!

This office was AMAZING! I am so very impressed. I have never had more of a thorough doctor. The office staff was great too. I brought a newborn in and they all treated the situation of me having my baby there great. She made sure to lay everything out on the table of what could be the cause of my symptoms. She was so helpful. I also called because my shortness of breath were getting worse and the front desk and doctor made sure to handle it right away and get me over some medicine to help. I’m very impressed and so happy I found this office/doctor!!!
