ILIT is one of the practice's newer offerings. Its website describes ILIT as a new way of giving allergens by ultrasound guided injection into a lymph node, given as a series of three injections four weeks apart. Allergy Innovations says research has shown ILIT to be roughly equivalent to five years of allergy shots for certain allergens. Whether ILIT suits a particular person's allergies is a decision for the patient and Dr. Yakhmi to make together. The practice also offers allergy shots (SCIT) for pollens, dust mites, mold spores, animal dander and insect venom, plus allergy drops and FDA approved allergy tablets (SLIT), and lists oral immunotherapy as coming soon. Conditions on its website include asthma, chronic sinusitis, chronic cough, hives and angioedema, eczema, food and medication allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, and immune deficiencies with recurrent infections. For environmental allergies, the practice prefers skin testing, which it calls more sensitive and comprehensive than blood tests. For anyone looking for an allergist in Kokomo, allergy testing in Kokomo or a faster option than years of allergy shots, the Kokomo office is at 2216 W. Alto Road. The practice's second office is in Westfield.

This clinic and doctor has been a waste of my time and money, I’ve invested over a year with her treatment. I started injections with a doctor in a different state in the early 80’s they tested extensively with individual injections, a year after treatment I was well and moved back to Indiana. Decades later I need treatment again, I saw a doctor in Muncie Indiana and the same testing as before occurred individual injections and after a year and a half I was doing well I know longer needed nose spray or Zyrtec. Unfortunately I lost my insurance for awhile and had to suffer through on my own for two years, after returning to my previous job I had good insurance again so I found my way to Allergy Innovation where their testing wasn’t the same they tested extensively with a plastic block with several needles built in. Their results showed I was allergic to one thing dust. Keep in mind both previous test showed I was allergic to several things. I went forward for over a year with very little results, when I noticed a pattern in between injections and mentioned it to Dr Yakmin and she replied I don’t know why this is happening your totally opposite from all of my other patients, I now know why. I’ve been seeing new doctors in Carmel Indiana they are ENT surgeons and specialist, come to find out the plastic block with all the needles are use for testing as a base line then they use four big trays of individual vials for additional testing takes about two hours with 20 minute wait times in between. I was tested yesterday and the results were the same as it was before dating back to the early 80’s I’m allergic to several things not just dust! I hope this information is useful

I love the staff and care that I'm receiving! Dr. Yakhmi is personable and sincere in her concern for my health. Whether the therapy is medicinal or immunal, she is thoughtful in her approach. Furthermore, the whole staff is kind and friendly. This office is a worthy successor to Dr. Matesic's legacy.
