About This Practice

AASC describes itself as an independent allergy practice serving the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Its allergists treat sinus and nasal allergies, asthma and breathing problems, eczema, hives and rashes, insect, drug and food allergies and immunodeficiency, using diagnostic testing to find the cause. The Bolingbrook office is where AASC offers ILIT. Rather than weekly or biweekly allergy shots for years, the practice describes three injections, once a month, for three months. According to AASC, ILIT is aimed at people with environmental allergies to pollen, pet dander, dust mites or mold, especially those who found traditional shots too time consuming, got only partial relief from them or have busy schedules. The practice notes that ILIT isn't for everyone, so an evaluation with one of its allergists comes first. His bio on the practice's website says Dr. Maaz Mohiuddin trained at National Jewish Health, seeing some of the most challenging cases of eczema, asthma and food allergy from around the world, and that he especially looks forward to helping patients who have gone too long without relief. Dr. Syed Rizvi's bio says he has lived with food and environmental allergies his whole life and was once a patient of Dr. Mohiuddin's. Born in Chicago and raised in central Illinois, he calls complex, challenging cases his passion. Dr. Rizvi saw both of my sons for their eczema, and we had a great experience. He was caring, thorough, and took the time to answer all of our questions without making us feel rushed. It is clear that he truly cares about his patients. I would definitely recommend him to other families.

I have been under the care of Dr. Rizvi since November 2025. I truly appreciate the thoughtful and attentive care he provides. He takes the time to listen carefully to my concerns, asks thorough questions, and genuinely understands how I’m feeling and identifies solutions. He has helped me effectively manage both my seasonal allergies and significant mold allergies/exposure. Scheduling appointments is always easy, and his staff is friendly, responsive and welcoming. I highly recommend Dr. Rizvi and his team.

This place feels a bit like an appointment mill. What previously took just one appointment at other allergists has required 3 for my son (assessment, testing, reviewing results). Also a doctors office with water down empty soap in the bathroom is unacceptable. Please replace the office furniture and have a professional cleaning service.
